Corvette C8 Z06 GTZ Ducktail Rear Spoiler — Carbon Fiber
The next generation of the RSC Ducktail — a new rear spoiler for the C8 E-Ray, Grand Sport, Z06, ZR1, or ZR1X optioned without wings. Drawn from scratch for the wide-body deck, mounted using the factory hole locations, and proportioned like it left the plant that way.
The RSC GTZ Ducktail Rear Spoiler offers a simplified rear spoiler design that sets your C8 apart from the crowd without adding a huge wing. Designed for the Corvette C8 Z06, E-Ray, ZR1, and Grand Sport, the GTZ replaces the stock spoiler with a fresh single-piece design with no exposed fasteners, and does it using the same mounting locations GM gave you, so no permanent modifications to your vehicle are necessary.
The GTZ builds on the RSC GT Ducktail, the best-selling rear spoiler for the C8 Stingray. When the Z06 arrived with its wider rear bodywork, we did not stretch the GT to fit. We started over on the wide-body deck and shaped a spoiler that reads as a factory-level piece, not an accessory bolted on afterward. The name is RSC nomenclature — the GTZ is our own shape, not a replica of any factory part.
For owners who want a more aggressive rear end than the stock spoiler delivers but do not want to commit to the height and visual weight of a high wing, the GTZ is the answer. It is the piece that gets the second look at the Saturday meet without changing the character of the car.
Why does that matter?
A rear spoiler lives at the most visible edge of the car, and its proportions are unforgiving — a few millimeters of extra volume or a trailing edge that sits a touch too high and the whole rear end looks wrong. The GTZ was prototyped, revised, and re-prototyped close to a dozen times on the RSC in-house Z06 before the tooling was cut. That iteration is the difference between a spoiler that photographs well from one angle and one that looks right from all angles, not just one or two.
Construction & Materials
Manufactured using pre-impregnated (prepreg) visible carbon fiber saturated with aerospace-grade epoxy resin, then autoclave-cured under precise pressure and temperature for maximum strength-to-weight ratio. This is the same manufacturing process used on factory Corvette carbon fiber components and by every major exotic marque, and it produces that high-end supercar fit and finish discerning owners demand. The GTZ utilizes a special high-temperature resin system that resists discoloration and warping, and is finished with a premium UV-inhibiting clear coat that resists hazing and yellowing under harsh sunlight. The flat, consistent weave pattern achieved through autoclave curing can’t be matched by less expensive wet-laid or vacuum infused products.
RSC carbon fiber is widely regarded as the closest match in the aftermarket to the factory GM visible carbon fiber.
A note on visible carbon
The term “visible carbon” refers to the weave being exposed — it is not a type of carbon fiber. Many products advertised as visible carbon fiber are only a top layer of carbon over fiberglass or cheaper material. The RSC GTZ Ducktail Rear Spoiler is constructed entirely of prepreg carbon fiber.
Design & Engineering
The GTZ was developed in CAD from the wide-body C8 rear deck itself, not adapted from a Stingray part or an existing spoiler. The ducktail profile raises the trailing edge above the stock spoiler line for a more planted, motorsport-derived stance, while the surfacing follows the C8’s rear body lines so the spoiler complements the car instead of competing with it.
The mounting was engineered around the factory spoiler locations from day one — a positive mechanical fastening that holds the spoiler flush and square to the deck and stays that way.
Fitment
Designed specifically for Corvette C8 factory wide-body models equipped with the factory rear spoiler, both Coupe and Convertible (HTC) body styles:
- 2023–2027 Corvette C8 Z06 (spoiler-equipped cars; not Z07 wing-equipped cars)
- 2024–2027 Corvette C8 E-Ray (all trims)
- 2025+ Corvette C8 ZR1 and ZR1X (spoiler-equipped cars; not ZTK wing-equipped cars)
- 2027+ Corvette C8 Grand Sport
Note: The GTZ mounts to the factory rear spoiler locations. It DOES NOT FIT cars equipped with the factory Z07 high wing or the ZR1 ZTK wing, which use different rear mounting. It also DOES NOT FIT the Corvette C8 Stingray, which uses a narrower chassis and different rear bodywork — Stingray owners should look at the RSC GT Ducktail Rear Spoiler.
Finish Options
The GTZ is available in two finishes. Both are the same prepreg, autoclave-cured carbon fiber part.
- Gloss Carbon Fiber — RSCVET3035. Exposed weave with premium UV-inhibiting clear coat, matched to factory visible carbon.
- Painted Carbon Flash Metallic Black — RSCVET3035FL. Painted to match the factory Carbon Flash accents for a cleaner, more understated look.
Installation
The GTZ mounts directly to the factory rear spoiler locations using the supplied hardware. Remove the stock spoiler, install the GTZ. No drilling, no cutting, no permanent modification required, and the installation is completely reversible.
High-quality, step-by-step printed instructions are included with each order to walk you or your technician through the installation.

Why Choose the RSC GTZ Ducktail
The GTZ is not a replica and it is not a factory spoiler with a lip glued on — it was drawn by RSC for this platform, refined on a real Z06 until the proportions were right, built in 100% prepreg carbon fiber that matches factory GM carbon, and mounted the way GM mounts it.
