Racing Sport Concepts (RSC) is a technology-driven design studio building premium carbon fiber body kits and aero upgrades for high-performance cars. We are obsessed with producing OEM+ body kits and accessories that improve the look and the performance of the vehicles we are working on.

We’re looking for the right engineer to help us develop new products faster and work on a wider variety of vehicles.

The Role

We’re hiring a Product Development Engineer I to join a small, hands-on team. The role is 70–80% project management and 20% CAD/mesh work. You’ll be our on-site link to a remote team of designers and engineers — turning raw laser scans into production-ready aero parts and driving projects end-to-end.

What You’ll Do

• ■  Manage product development projects in Asana — from scanning to CAD to prototype to production.
• ■  Operate 3D scanners (Creaform, HandySCAN, etc.), process scan data, and prep it for downstream modeling.
• ■  Organize and back up scan data with consistent naming conventions and file structures.
• ■  Perform CAD and mesh work in Blender or Rhino — fitment checks, revisions, and mounting solutions on large, scan-based meshes.
• ■  Document design issues with photos and detailed notes, then communicate them clearly to our remote team of designers and engineers.
• ■  Set up and run 3D prints, test prototypes on real vehicles, and report fitment and finish issues back to stakeholders in a clear, actionable way.
• ■  Write clear engineering and manufacturing notes for suppliers.
• ■  Coordinate directly with designers, engineers, and manufacturing partners.
• ■  Build repeatable systems that make development faster and more organized.

Must-Haves

• ■  Located in (or able to commute to) Johnstown, OH — no remote option.
• ■  Authorized to work in the U.S.
• ■  Proficient in Blender or Rhino, with hands-on experience handling large mesh files (laser scan data, dense polygon models).
• ■  Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated — comfortable operating with minimal oversight.
• ■  Naturally curious and genuinely interested in learning new tools, processes, and techniques.
• ■  Genuine passion for cars and aftermarket automotive culture.

Nice-to-Haves

• ■  Experience with 3D scanning hardware and scan data processing (Creaform, HandySCAN, Geomagic, etc.).
• ■  3D printing experience — setting up slicers, running prints, evaluating prototypes.
• ■  Alias or CATIA digital surfacing skills (organic Class-A surfacing from mesh).
• ■  Working knowledge of parametric CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) as a complement to mesh tools.
• ■  Familiarity with carbon fiber, foams, metals, and mounting hardware.
• ■  Experience with CNC machining or composites prototyping.
• ■  Background in the automotive aftermarket and/or personally worked on, raced, or modified cars.

The Role

If you’re into cars, this is a chance to handle parts for Z06s, ZR1s and GT3 RSs every day, and at times work on the cars themselves. You’ll start by receiving, inspecting, packing and shipping large, fragile, high-value carbon fiber parts, and we’ll teach you to repair and finish them by hand.

Full training is provided and no experience is needed. Nobody expects you to know all of this on day one. We need someone careful, reliable, and willing to learn. This isn’t a dead-end warehouse job. As you pick up skills, your responsibilities and pay grow with them, and there’s a long-term future here for the right person.

What You’ll Do

• ■  Receiving & inspection. Check inbound carbon fiber parts for damage and finish defects before they’re shelved or shipped.
• ■  Pick, pack & ship. Ship parcel and LTL freight orders, and package fragile, oversized parts so they arrive perfect.
• ■  Order accuracy. Match the right part to the right order. Nobody wants to go install their parts on the weekend only to learn they were sent the wrong thing.
• ■  Inventory & shop. Keep inventory accurate and the shop clean and organized, and suggest better ways to do things when you see them.
• ■  Documentation. Photograph any damage and write clear, short notes for our remote design and engineering team.
• ■  Hands-on car work. Test-fit parts, prep 3D prints, wash and detail, and assist with installs on customer vehicles.
• ■  Repair & finishing. Learn carbon fiber sanding, masking, and clear-coat polishing. We’ll show you how.
• ■  Speak up. Flag anything that looks off early. A damaged part nobody mentions becomes an angry customer.

Must-Haves

• ■  Careful every time. The 10th panel of the day gets the same hands as the first.
• ■  A sharp eye for a hairline crack, scratch, chip, or finish flaw others would miss.
• ■  Good hands and the patience to learn finishing work from scratch.
• ■  Reliable and on time. In a small shop, everyone feels it when someone’s out.
• ■  Follows a process without cutting corners, and takes direction well.
• ■  Comfortable with computers and basic hand and power tools.
• ■  Able to lift up to 50 lbs, move oversized boxes, and be on your feet most of the day, in a shop that’s heated to about 50°F in winter and reaches the 80s in summer, with sanding dust and noise at times.
• ■  Able to be on-site Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM at 41 Greenscape Ct, Johnstown, OH 43031, with reliable transportation. Please check your drive on Google Maps before applying.

Nice-to-Haves

• ■  A real passion for cars. A true car person is a big plus.
• ■  Any hands-on background: auto body, detailing, composites, painting, fabrication, even serious model building.
• ■  Warehouse, shipping, or inventory experience.

• ■  Pay: $23 – $26/hr based on experience, with raises as you learn the repair side and prove reliable.
• ■  Schedule: Days, Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5:00. Home for dinner. No nights, weekends, or rotating shifts.
• ■  No quotas: No rate quotas or scanner tracking. We care about getting it right, not hitting a number.
• ■  A real craft: Learn carbon fiber repair and finishing, not one station forever.
