Product Development Engineer I +
Johnstown, OH • $75,000 – $95,000 • In-person
About Racing Sport Concepts
Racing Sport Concepts (RSC) is a technology-driven design studio building premium carbon fiber body kits and aero upgrades for high-performance cars. We are obsessed with producing OEM+ body kits and accessories that improve the look and the performance of the vehicles we are working on.
We work on a variety of high-performance automobiles ranging from Corvette to Lamborghini. If you want to be part of a small team that moves fast, this might be the right place for you. RSC products are sold around the world and can be found anywhere from the local car meet to Spa-Francorchamps.
We’re looking for the right engineer to help us develop new products faster and work on a wider variety of vehicles.
The Role
We’re hiring a Product Development Engineer I to join a small, hands-on team. The role is 70–80% project management and 20% CAD/mesh work. You’ll be our on-site link to a remote team of designers and engineers — turning raw laser scans into production-ready aero parts and driving projects end-to-end.
What You’ll Do
- ■ Manage product development projects in Asana — from scanning to CAD to prototype to production.
- ■ Operate 3D scanners (Creaform, HandySCAN, etc.), process scan data, and prep it for downstream modeling.
- ■ Organize and back up scan data with consistent naming conventions and file structures.
- ■ Perform CAD and mesh work in Blender or Rhino — fitment checks, revisions, and mounting solutions on large, scan-based meshes.
- ■ Document design issues with photos and detailed notes, then communicate them clearly to our remote team of designers and engineers.
- ■ Set up and run 3D prints, test prototypes on real vehicles, and report fitment and finish issues back to stakeholders in a clear, actionable way.
- ■ Write clear engineering and manufacturing notes for suppliers.
- ■ Coordinate directly with designers, engineers, and manufacturing partners.
- ■ Build repeatable systems that make development faster and more organized.
Must-Haves
- ■ Located in (or able to commute to) Johnstown, OH — no remote option.
- ■ Authorized to work in the U.S.
- ■ Proficient in Blender or Rhino, with hands-on experience handling large mesh files (laser scan data, dense polygon models).
- ■ Organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated — comfortable operating with minimal oversight.
- ■ Naturally curious and genuinely interested in learning new tools, processes, and techniques.
- ■ Genuine passion for cars and aftermarket automotive culture.
Nice-to-Haves
- ■ Experience with 3D scanning hardware and scan data processing (Creaform, HandySCAN, Geomagic, etc.).
- ■ 3D printing experience — setting up slicers, running prints, evaluating prototypes.
- ■ Alias or CATIA digital surfacing skills (organic Class-A surfacing from mesh).
- ■ Working knowledge of parametric CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360) as a complement to mesh tools.
- ■ Familiarity with carbon fiber, foams, metals, and mounting hardware.
- ■ Experience with CNC machining or composites prototyping.
- ■ Background in the automotive aftermarket and/or personally worked on, raced, or modified cars.
What We Offer
- ■ Salary: $75,000 – $95,000, depending on experience.
- ■ Bonuses: Performance-based, tied to project milestones.
- ■ PTO: Paid time off package included.
- ■ Flexibility: Open to discussing additional benefits, training, and tools.
- ■ Impact: Direct ownership of exciting projects — no corporate layers.
- ■ Team: Be part of a small, passionate crew shaping the future of RSC.
If you’re detail-driven, love cars, and want to see your work on high-end builds — this role is for you.

About Racing Sport Concepts
Racing Sport Concepts (RSC) is a technology-driven design studio building premium carbon fiber body kits and aero upgrades for high-performance cars. We are obsessed with producing OEM+ parts and accessories that improve both the look and the performance of the vehicles we work on.
We work on a variety of high-performance automobiles ranging from Corvette to Lamborghini. RSC products are sold around the world and can be found anywhere from the local car meet to Spa-Francorchamps. Our customers are discerning enthusiasts who care about craftsmanship, fitment, and the kind of detail you only notice when it’s done right.
We’re a small, lean team with a real reputation for quality and earned trust in the enthusiast community. The brand has grown to the point where marketing needs its own dedicated owner — and that’s where you come in.
The Role
This is RSC’s first dedicated marketing hire. You’ll be the person who makes our marketing happen — consistently, on schedule, and on-brand. The President sets marketing strategy and budget; your job is to execute the day-to-day work across our channels, learn the business deeply, and grow into more responsibility over time.
This is a hands-on execution role on a small team. You’ll do the work yourself, not delegate it — and you’ll own a function with real autonomy. It’s fast-moving and varied, not a strategy-only seat or a narrow specialist position. For the right person, it’s a runway: as you prove yourself, the scope of what you own can grow, including paid media, deeper analytics, and brand strategy. If you want a narrow, single-channel seat inside a large corporate team, this isn’t it.
What You’ll Do
- ■ Content & social media. Plan, schedule, and publish across Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels. Engage with followers and the enthusiast community, coordinate product photo and video shoots, and capture content yourself when possible.
- ■ Email marketing. Build and send campaigns and newsletters in Klaviyo. Maintain segmentation and automated flows.
- ■ Website & merchandising. Keep product pages, collections, and on-site content fresh and accurate in Shopify. Build new product pages at launch, publish blog content, and maintain basic on-page SEO hygiene.
- ■ Product launches. Execute go-to-market plans for new products. We provide the strategy; you run the multi-channel launch checklist from start to finish.
- ■ Influencer & ambassador program. Coordinate outreach, manage product seeding, track deliverables, and maintain relationships with creators and partners.
- ■ Events & trade shows. Support marketing for enthusiast shows: pre-show promotion, discount codes, lead capture, and follow-up.
- ■ Reporting. Track weekly and monthly marketing metrics, and tell us clearly what’s working, what isn’t, and what you’d change.
Must-Haves
- ■ Able to be on-site on a regular basis at our Johnstown / Sunbury, OH facility (on-site or hybrid).
- ■ Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- ■ 1–3 years of marketing experience, ideally at a small business, e-commerce, or direct-to-consumer brand where you handled multiple areas yourself.
- ■ A genuine generalist — comfortable being the only marketing person on a small team, self-directed, organized, and reliable on follow-through.
- ■ Strong brand instincts and taste — you understand premium positioning and can keep a brand voice consistent across channels.
- ■ Solid writing skills for product, email, and social copy.
- ■ Comfort with major social platforms and at least one email marketing platform.
- ■ Basic fluency with analytics and reporting (GA4 or platform-native insights).
- ■ Genuine willingness to learn the automotive and enthusiast space.
Nice-to-Haves
- ■ A real passion for cars, motorsports, or the performance / enthusiast world.
- ■ Hands-on experience with Shopify and / or Klaviyo specifically.
- ■ Photography, videography, or editing skills (Lightroom, Premiere, CapCut, etc.).
- ■ Exposure to paid media (Google Ads, Meta Ads) — a skill you could grow into here.
- ■ SEO knowledge and comfort with design tools (Canva, Figma, Adobe).
What We Offer
- ■ Salary: $62,000 – $72,000, commensurate with experience.
- ■ Ownership: RSC’s first dedicated marketing seat — own a function with real autonomy.
- ■ Runway: Room to grow into paid media, deeper analytics, and brand strategy as you prove yourself.
- ■ Impact: See the direct result of your work in a growing premium brand — no corporate layers.
- ■ Team: Be part of a small, passionate crew shaping the future of RSC.
If you love cars, take real ownership of your work, and want to build a brand’s marketing from the ground up — this role is for you.
